So, continuing on from what my last update for the Project said, I'm going to hold a contest for Hammer and Anvil Version. This contest is going to last from January 8th until March 8th, giving this contest exactly 2 months of running times. So, what exactly is this contest, you ask? Why, I'd be happy to tell you!
STEP 1: CHOOSE YOUR FAKEMON
This contest will be based around designing one of several Fakemon, which are listed below. You are to choose 1 (ONE) Pokemon from the list and submit a drawing, either digital or traditional, colored or line drawing, and draw them. That's right, you actually have to do work. So, without further delay, this is the list of Fakemon that are available to be designed in this contest!
1. SNARWOLF (Ground)
2. ECHOMANCER (Psychic/Fire)
3. WARLOUD (Dark/Fire)
4. FRANKENTON (Dark/Electric)
5. MASTERMIME (Psychic)
6. SQUIDRAIN (Water)
7. OCTOPURGE (Water)
8. SCARRIAGE (Ghost)
9. FARMEREAP (Grass/Normal)
10. COUNTREE (Grass/Normal)
STEP 2: SUBMIT YOUR DRAWING
The next step is to submit your Drawing. To do so, just submit your drawing to your gallery like you would any other drawing, and put somewhere in the description of the drawing my Account Name and that the submission is for the contest. Simple as that.
STEP 3: AWAIT DELIBERATION
After submitting your drawing, all that is left is to await for the judges to deliberate the entries and choose the best submission for each Pokemon. The winners will be listed in a Journal entry, and the winning designs will be added to the Project as the official design for Pokemon. However, there will need to be at least 3 (THREE) entries in that Pokemon in order for your entry to be considered. If there aren't enough entries in your Pokemon Category, your entry will be entered into the Honorable Mentions Category. The best 3 entries in the Honorable Mentions Category will still receive recognition for their efforts.
OPTIONAL STEP: VOLUNTEER FOR JUDGING AND PRIZES
If you don't want to enter the contest, you don't have to. But if you have a background in art, and you have submitted artwork that has received a decent number of views/comments, you may volunteer to become a Judge. Or, if that isn't really your thing, you can always volunteer to give some sort of prize (other than the one listed above) as a reward for certain winners. Prizes can be submitted in any way you see fit. For example, if you wish to give a certain number of Points to the winner of, say, the Mastermime Category, just state so and it shall be done. To volunteer, just send me a note stating which you'd like to apply for and I'll see to the rest.
So, now that everything is said and you're fully informed on the rules and such of the contest, you have 1 week to prepare for entry! I look forward to seeing the entries, and feel free to spread the contest around! The more entries, the better!
